LANSDALE, Pa. (AP) — A homeless teenager has been jailed in Montgomery County after allegedly trying to rape a woman at a park this week. Police say the teen was wearing a mask when he attacked the woman as she put her children in her car at the Lansdale park. She managed to break free and he fled but police arrested him after a search involving a K-9 unit.

BIRDSBORO, Pa. (AP) — A Morgantown man has been ordered to face trial in an alleged knife attack on his parents. WFMZ-TV reports Robert Hausch was arrested in the family's home last month -- allegedly stabbing both parents in the neck as they slept several hours after an argument over his failing college grades.

ROGERSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Greene County authorities are trying to determine what sparked a trailer fire that left an elderly woman dead yesterday. The (Washington) Observer-Reporter says Ruth Larimer was found dead on the trailer's back porch. Her daughter was able to escape the flames.
