PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a 15-year-old girl has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a 14-year-old boy last week in south Philadelphia.
Prosecutors said Azim Chaplin was stabbed in the chest Feb. 11 and died five days later at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
The teenage suspect was arrested and charged as an adult with attempted murder earlier. Authorities said it wasn't clear what led to the stabbing.
The suspect is also charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and other counts. The Associated Press is not naming her because of her age.
