UPPER DARBY, Pa. (AP) — Police are looking for a young man who punched an unarmed 58-year-old man sitting at a suburban Philadelphia trolley stop in a videotaped attack posted on social media.
Upper Darby police Superintendent Michael Chitwood tells the Philadelphia Daily News (http://bit.ly/1vELtbS ) the assault was unprovoked, calling it another incident of the so-called "knockout game" and a "violent, vicious, cowardly, punk act."
Police say the video of last week's attack at the Aronimink station was posted by one of the four boys involved. In it, one of the boys approaches the man and, after a brief exchange, punches him in the jaw as the others laugh.
Chitwood says police have received many tips about the identity of the assailant and vows to "take him out in cuffs."
