PITTSBURGH (AP) — The family of a man who was fatally shot — along with two other victims who were wounded — have sued a Pittsburgh-area bar, the convicted gunman and his mother, who is also in prison for illegally providing the weapon used that night.
Wednesday's lawsuit targets 26-year-old David Mazzocco, his 61-year-old mother, Gloria, and the Fort Pitt Inn in Oakdale, the scene of the March 11, 2013 shooting.
David Mazzocco is serving life in prison for fatally shooting 29-year-old James Adams that night and wounding two other patrons.
Gloria Mazzocco is serving two to six years in prison for letting her son have the gun he used in the shooting — even though he was prohibited from having a gun due to his ongoing mental problems.
The owners of the bar could not immediately be reached for comment.
