Woman found dead in bed, mate 'person of interest'

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (AP) — A 38-year-old woman has been found dead in her bed in her southeastern Pennsylvania home and police have been searching for her boyfriend as a "person of interest" in the case.

Police in Upper Darby didn't immediately identify the woman, but police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says police have been called to the home "numerous times" for domestic disputes.

The woman's boyfriend was arrested last month for violating a protection-from-abuse court order the woman had obtained.

Police say the woman's death was considered "suspicious" but wouldn't specify why. The woman has two children and the man being sought is reportedly the father of her younger child.

The woman's body was found about 7:30 a.m. Sunday after police were asked to check on her well-being. They found the woman's body with a towel over her head.
